Butterfly Knives Tricks

I wanted to write this article for those of you who are thinking about learning some new butterfly knives tricks, and for those of you who have never tried this but may be a little curious. I have been a knife collector for over 20 years now, and have had several butterfly knives during that time period. I learned when I was a teenager how to open and close my butterfly knife fairly quickly. As time went on I really started to push the boundary and try new things with it. Most of what I saw at that point in my life was from watching Kung Fu Theater on Sunday afternoon. I have always felt I was fairly good at showing off with my knife, and really was comfortable doing quite a few different tricks with it.

Know where the story gets interesting. I wanted to learn this new trick not too long ago, so I could film it and put it up on one of my sites, you know those guys who put their video up on youtube and places like that. Well that was going to be me, but on my own website which is around butterfly knives tricks. I had saw this guy on T.V doing some cool tricks with his knife, and then he threw it up while it was spinning he caught it and continued doing his tricks. Me and my great wisdom said hey I can do that, needless to say I started practicing it day after day. I was actually getting it down pretty good, only had a few minor cuts nothing to write home to mom about. So the day came when I was in my room trying to get it down pat, and my daughter came in the room all in a panic telling me that mom wanted me to come down, and just about that time I had threw it up, and as I look at her, the knife went through my hand like butter, it’s a very sharp knife, and yes I had to pull it out. Wow that was painful.

The moral of this article is, don’t try everything you see on T.V it may look cool, and you may think you can do it. Well maybe you can but better take the safe road, and don’t end up with 25 stitches in your hand like I did.
